What is the difference between the MKS-1023 and the MKS-1022 ?

The MKS-1023 has an upgraded motor and fan blade. Midge/No-See- Um's are less attentive and a bit faster than the mosquito.

The upgraded motor and fan compensates for this by creating the stronger airflow that is needed to suck them into the machine.

The MKS-1023 comes with a different catch bag.

The bag is designed to not inhibit the needed airflow but also insures that any midge that may get through the electronic grid alive. Midge/No-See-Um 's are much smaller than the mosquito.

The new designed bag will not allow them to escape, they will die from dehydration within 24 hours. The bag provided with the MK/2 is designed to remain on the machine vs the MKS where we recommend that the customer remove the bag after the correct placement is located.

The MKS-1023 also comes with a upgraded regulator that is pre set and releases about 20% more CO/2 than the MKS.

This is needed to draw the Midge/No-See-Um 's to the machine and keep them at the machine. (Again, the Midge/No-see-um's are less attentive than the mosquito).

Yes the MKS-1023 will also kill mosquitoes. Although we do not recommend the MKS-1023 if you just have a mosquito problem.
